Zippity is looking for a smart, proactive, and energetic team player, capable of owning the customer experience.
Position Description Overview
Zippity’s Customer Experience Coordinator is the point-person for daily operations and has primary ownership of the customer experience. They serve as the bridge between the customer and Zippity’s service operations. The Coordinator is the primary contact for all customer inquiries and day-of communication. Additionally, the Coordinator supports the Zippity service technician team to ensure services are done efficiently and in coordination with customer expectations.
Candidates must be able to thrive in the fast-paced, dynamic start-up atmosphere. Candidates must have excellent typing skills and capable of using a variety of technology platforms (Google documents, Slack, Zippity’s proprietary admin console, etc…). Candidates must be good multi-taskers and obsessed with providing top-notch customer service. Attention to detail is also highly important.
Outstanding candidates will also be able to take lead on customer-facing marketing and product management efforts.
Because Zippity is a start-up, the Coordinator’s tasks are dynamic and wide ranging. Here is a sample of the Coordinator’s tasks:
- Ownership of the customer experience
- Responding to customer inquiries via Zippity’s website chat function
- Responding to customer’s texts on service day
- Communicating the results of Zippity’s services to customers
- Charging customers’ credit cards
- Tracking and processing tips
- Sending “12 Point Health Check” reports to customers based on technician’s findings
- Appointment scheduling
- Sending marketing emails
- Collecting marketing emails and generating reports
- Being an advocate within Zippity for the customer experience
- Providing input to Zippity product management on new features

Zippity is the automotive industry’s most convenient car care provider. We designed a mobile service garage where we deliver car cleans, oil changes, etc., while our customers are at their 9-5 jobs. We are a start-up with founders from MIT and Dartmouth and are hiring as we grow rapidly.
Zippity provides a seamless experience for its customers with the combination of a modern website, a self-serve “key-osk” in the company lobby, technician-facing apps in the mobile service garage, and admin tools used by the service dispatcher.
Candidates should have a strong coding background and be ready to dive into the existing codebase and be ready to make additions and improvements. Strong candidates would be great teammates, capable of shaping Zippity’s technology strategy while writing good, clean code.
As an early stage start-up, the more hats you can wear the better. The only absolute requirement is strong coding skills, but it’s a big plus if you can bring skills in design, PM, QA or a willingness to provide technical support.
You would be getting in early to a funded startup with lots of upside in a massive and outdated industry. We service hundreds of real customers in New Hampshire, and this is a particularly exciting time for the company as we are expanding operations to Boston. We have office space at the CIC in Cambridge, but are open to remote work arrangements.
You will have the opportunity to have a huge amount of influence on a small growing team.
Compensation: $90k - $120k plus significant equity (depending on experience)
