Technical Service Leader
Zippity is looking for a highly motivated Technical Service Leader who will be responsible for technical service processes, operational procedures, and training programs that lead to improvements in Zippity technicians’ performance and deliver a best in class customer experience.
This role requires extensive coordination with the Operations and Customer Service Team, previous experience as both a technician and a manager, strong problem solving and analytical skills, and a passion for creating rockstar technicians and service processes. Our ideal candidate will be the in-house EXPERT for all things maintenance and repair and will play a key role in driving operational efficiency and service quality and safety at Zippity.
Acts as a technical knowledge resource for vehicle repair procedures for all Zippity Technicians, for all vehicle makes and models.
Acts as a technical knowledge resource for Customer Service Advisors, supporting the translation of complex repair orders to customers.
Assists technicians with quoting, logistics and concerns providing resolution to customer vehicle issues.
Develops scalable service procedures unique to Zippity’s mobile service model which guarantees the highest quality technician work.
Develops Zippity’s training procedures for onboarding new technicians and continuing education of current staff.
Coordinates and monitors daily workflow across multiple Mobile Service Vehicle Teams.
Identifies opportunities to drive operational efficiencies relating but not limited to labor time, parts costs, and service delivery logistics.
Assists management with customer inquiries, complaints or concerns providing resolution(s) and feedback to the management team.
Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all assigned departmental staff.
Maintains a safe work environment
Acts as a technical knowledge resource for our internal Product and Marketing teams so that Zippity can demonstrate and deliver automotive expertise across the customer experience life cycle.
Automotive technical or trade school degree preferred
Minimum 10 years verifiable as an automotive technician
ASE testing A1-A8 completed - L1 & L2 preferred
One IMACA or MACS certification for refrigerant handling and recovery
Multi brand knowledge
Shop manager experience
Knowledge expert on OSHA, shop related safety and basic shop epa regulations
Working knowledge of all basic shop equipment (tire machines, scan tools, lifts, etc..)
Automotive electrical systems expert
Strong customer service skills.
Strong verbal communication skills.
